Verification |
At least 30% of all FAFSAs are selected by the U.S. Department of Education (USDE) for a process called Verification. Verification is the USDE's means of testing the accuracy of the information submitted on FAFSAs and by doing so ensuring the integrity of the student financial aid programs. Schools are authorized to collect certain documentation, for review, in order to complete this process. If the information submitted conflicts with the information provided on a FAFSA schools are authorized, and obligated, to make a correction to the FAFSA before financial aid eligibility can be accurately determined and funds awarded.
If you have been selected for Verification by the USDE it will be necessary for you to submit a Chicago State University Institutionql Verification Form and verious income information, such as a U.S. 1040 and W2s. In order to determine which documents are needed please go to the "Unsatisfied Requirments" section of CSU X-Press.
